Brad Powers Alma Mater Creating Great Partnership

Posted by admin on June 11, 2010

In recent Clark University Graduate School of Management news, Clark has recently created a partnership with the MLKJ Business Empowerment Center. The MLKJ Business Empowerment Center is an economic development agency that is part of Worcester’s urban core.  The Board of the GSOM at Clark University, including Brad Powers, certainly encourages this type of collaboration.

As part of this partnership, MBA students at Clark will work as business development consultants to help those in Worcester who are under-served.

As the Dean of the Clark Graduate School of Management, Edward Ottensmeyer, said, “Our talented students, with guidance from the MLKJ Center’s staff, will work closely with Worcester’s small business owners and everyone gains.” The Clark University talent is expected to help alleviate current regional economic challenges by giving advice and assistance to aspiring and existing small businesses.

Brad Powers and Clark University GSOM Board

Posted by admin on May 17, 2010

Brad Powers was very successful at his time at Clark University.  Not only did he earn his BA in Psychology from there, but went on to earn his MBA from the Graduate School of Management (GSOM) of which today he sits on the board.  So even though it might be some time since Powers left Clark University, he for sure still has a vested interest in what goes on there, for students and faculty alike.

Brad Powers, Sports and Clark University

Today, anyone associated with Clark University, including Brad Powers, can take pride in the sports opportunities the institution provides for its students. Indeed, the university’s sports program enables students to both compete and have a good time without the pressure that they would get if they were doing this on a professional/educational level.  Indeed, so attractive is the university’s sports program that around half of the students choose to take advantage of it (as well as alumni, staff and faculty).  So for anyone who thinks studying at Clark University is just about making the grade, ask Brad Powers what he thinks of the college’s current offerings in the sports department.

GSOM at Clark University

Posted by admin on March 14, 2010

The Graduate School of Management at Clark University is an esteemed location that helps students to hone their business skills. As their dean, Edward Ottensmeyer, Ph.D., explains, there are three main areas to highlight with Clark University’s GSOM.

Clark provides an excellent environment for developing finance, marketing and business skills; with students attending the business school from all over the world, the program is made richer with this diversity; Clark helps future business leaders to acquire business acumen in so many areas, from promoting environmental issues to celebrating the spirit of the entrepreneur.

Alumni such as Brad Powers, who is part of the GSOM Board, are proud to give back and to have been influenced by their experience at Clark University.
